The past two weeks have brought more goodbyes to our little farm family than we would have liked.
First, our friends lost Angie, their beloved donkey. Angie shared her pastures with our sheep over the summers and became a special part of our lives. I’m so grateful for the time we got to spend with her. 🤍
Then came the loss of Biscuit, a lamb belonging to another dear friend. Despite everyone’s efforts, Biscuit struggled and never really thrived. Losing a young animal is never easy. 💔
And then we lost Reilly, one of our older ewes who was enjoying her retirement with our friends alongside Angie. Knowing she spent her final days loved, comfortable, and well cared for brings some comfort. 💙
Three animals. Three different families. A lot of heartache—and a reminder of how important community is.
Our friends and neighbors have stepped up this past week to help us in ways both big and small, and we are incredibly grateful. 💐
Farming can be hard, but we are so thankful we don’t have to do it alone.
Rest easy, Angie, Biscuit, and Reilly. You were loved, and you will be missed. 🫏💚🐑
