Misty Rose Farm - Cecil County Raising multi-purpose sheep in Cecil County, MD. Livestock - Fleeces - Meat - Pelts - Consultation.

Allison has been raising sheep since 1995 and started a purebred Romney flock in 1999. All Romneys are registered with the American Romney Breeders Association. We also raise Natural Colored Long Wools (Romney sire on crossbred ewes) registrable with the Natural Colored Wool Growers Association. We aim to produce well-rounded sheep that will excel in and out if the show ring. Show/breeding stock,

fleece producers/pets, raw fleece, pelts, and meats available (although all limited as we run a fairly small flock).

The past two weeks have brought more goodbyes to our little farm family than we would have liked.

First, our friends lost Angie, their beloved donkey. Angie shared her pastures with our sheep over the summers and became a special part of our lives. I’m so grateful for the time we got to spend with her. 🤍

Then came the loss of Biscuit, a lamb belonging to another dear friend. Despite everyone’s efforts, Biscuit struggled and never really thrived. Losing a young animal is never easy. 💔

And then we lost Reilly, one of our older ewes who was enjoying her retirement with our friends alongside Angie. Knowing she spent her final days loved, comfortable, and well cared for brings some comfort. 💙

Three animals. Three different families. A lot of heartache—and a reminder of how important community is.

Our friends and neighbors have stepped up this past week to help us in ways both big and small, and we are incredibly grateful. 💐

Farming can be hard, but we are so thankful we don’t have to do it alone.

Rest easy, Angie, Biscuit, and Reilly. You were loved, and you will be missed. 🫏💚🐑

🐮🌾 Support the Future of Agriculture at the Cecil County Fair 4-H Livestock Sale! 🌾🐷

Join us Saturday, August 1 for one of the most meaningful events of Fair Week! The Buyer’s Social begins at 11:00 AM and the Livestock Sale starts promptly at 12:00 PM.

Support our hardworking 4-H members as they showcase the animals they’ve raised all year. This year’s sale features beef & dairy steers, market hogs, market lambs, market meat goats, ducks, broilers, rabbits, plus a variety of 4-H baked goods, alpaca products, and a silent auction filled with unique handmade items.

Whether you’re a buyer or simply want to cheer on our youth, your support helps invest in the next generation of agriculture and leadership. Some exhibitors will be selling for the last time, while others will be a first year seller. We hope to see you there! 💚💛
