Thanks to a dear friend for picking up the chicks in Natchez tonight!! Vicksburg’s ts chicks accidentally got delivered to the Natchez post office today. Incubator will be here in about a week too for the existing flock!!

I started weighing my huge chicken eggs. This one weighed 3.4 ounces. My record was 3.2 since I started weighing. A normal large chicken egg for reference. 😆😳 Poor hen!!

We found a hen (very well hidden) inside the tree line sitting on a clutch of eggs. Due to the dangers, I relocated her and the eggs. She abandoned the eggs, but I had another broody hen that hatched 8 of them. They’re about 5 weeks old now.

Turn up the volume!! 🐣🐣🐥🐥

He isn’t getting any more chickens!! And I do appreciate the help more than you know!!

Coyotes are considered nuisance animals and completely legal to kill.

Young male. He did have a tail. The shooter is welcome to it!!
