Hi everyone,
I know many of you have been reaching out, so I wanted to give you all an update.
I’m still waiting to have my leg surgery and, unfortunately, I’m still unable to stand on it for too long without significant swelling.
While waiting for my surgery date, I was working on my car when I had a very unfortunate accident. A piece of metal shot into my eye. The impact was severe and caused a traumatic cataract. In the words of my eye surgeon, the injury “looks like a gunshot wound.” As a result, I have lost vision in one eye and now need major eye surgery and possibly more than one.
It’s been a very difficult few weeks, but I want everyone to know that I’m okay and doing my best to take things one day at a time.
More than anything, I just wanted to say how much I miss you all. Your messages, support, and concern have meant so much to me during this time. All of you are deeply missed, and I look forward to seeing everyone again when I’m able.
