Alright y’all, so when I learn something new here on the homestead I like to share. This my friends is called corn s**t. It is a rare fungus that can infect corn. Disgusting and weird right? Wait, it gets better. This is considered a delicacy and is edible! It is basically a mushroom and is prepared as such and is said to be absolutely delicious. It originates from Aztec cuisine. Just thought I would share, if you see this stuff growing on your corn, maybe give it a try! We will be and I’ll let you know how it goes.

Some things to think about 🤔🫣🤫 Are you really getting what you think you are when you pay that price? It’s also the same with meat if you don’t truly know where it’s coming from. 🫤

If you own chickens, a very valuable yet underestimated part of the eggs that they give you is the shell. I bake the shells, crush them up and feed them back to them. It gives them vital minerals, nutrients and good calcium back. It helps to make their egg production better/healthier. This is little over a weeks worth of eggs in our home.
