Did you know...

Cucamelons form tubers known as corms.
You can dig them up and store them (like dahlias) and replant them in the spring for a earlier, heartier harvest.

Year 3 of picking Cucamelons from our wild patch.

This year it looks like only one corm survived winter. It is hiding in the feverfew and climbing its way through the corn 🌽

Looking fabulous!
Silks are browned and starting to dry out.
Kernels are getting more definition, but the top is not quite there yet.

Taste test: getting plump and juicy, but still creating that delicious, sweet sugar.
