Homeplace Katahdins and Hops We keep registered Katahdin hair sheep (for sale: breeding stock or whole lamb for your freezer). Our small Cascade hop yard supplies local brewers.

Having moved to the family farm, five years ago, we sought something constructive to do with old to***co barns and fields. Acquaintances keep sheep, but wool sheep must be sheared and to make money in wool, you must be meticulously clean. We discovered Katahdin hair sheep; no shearing, good mothers, parasite resistant. This is our third year keeping a small flock. We've sold some ram lambs for bre

eding stock; mostly, we sell whole, live lambs "on the hoof" to friends and colleagues. Katahdin lamb is mild and lean, earning raves from our customers. Contact us for prices and availability. Lisa loves plants that grow like crazy, and she loves a hoppy beer! Friends and family brew beer, so we put in a row of Cascade hops. Last year, we gave away sample packs of dried, vacuum-packed hops to friends, and the beer is delicious! In the end, a local brewery bought the entire crop. Our second crop is well under way, expecting harvest in August. If you like fresh whole leaf hops, contact us in June or July, and we'll let you know when they're ready.
