Heritage dual-purpose meat chicks, Delaware and Australorp cockerels, hatched 4/29. Ready for new brooder.

Preparing to incubate sex-linked Delaware/Blue Australorps. Anyone interested? Limited supply unless there is enough interest in the dual-purpose cockerels. If there is expressed interest, I will incubate Cedar Belles again. Same supply issue if everyone just wants the pullets.

My new 4 month old ram lamb is settling in nicely with my other three rams. He is my new bloodline for next year's breeding season. A big thank you to Liannn & Dan Finnerty in Sequim for this sweet little boy.

These pullets had never seen pumpkin before. Their first time they looked at it like it was an alien. The next day I could not find a trace of pumpkin anywhere. That 2nd day they couldn't eat it fast enough. Pumpkin and apples are now their favorite fall treat.

The summer treats are coming to an end. The pullets and cockerels do love their corn cobs and watermelon.

These eggs were collected on 9/27. I thought for sure that would be the last time this season that I would see at least 6 eggs in a day. The next seven days the egg count was 0-2/day, 5 one day. Then today I collected 8 beautiful eggs. They are teasing me!
