Wow.
There will be lots of chicken soup and broth being made by many. We passed on 37 soup packs tonight.

There is always something to learn…..
Striving to provide useful knowledge and wisdom to our community!

Saturday night learning…..

Tick populations and tick-borne illnesses are expanding rapidly.

What is driving the surge?
1. Milder winters: Warmer temperatures allow ticks to stay active longer and survive in new geographic regions.
2. Landscape changes: Suburban development creates "edge habitats" where forests meet backyards, bringing ticks closer to homes.
3. Rodent booms: Forest fragmentation drives out natural predators, leading to higher populations of mice—the primary carriers of these diseases.

It is imperative that we learn how to protect ourselves as well as how to treat any illnesses should they arise!

I am excited to study ticks and tick-borne illness more in-depth.

I will be working with my herbalist mentor to create a class that will be offered thru the Pennsylvania School of Herbalism this fall.

Propolis tincture is a premium product created from the propolis of our own bees. It has many ways to support our health. From antioxidants, to immune and respiratory support to wound and skin healing…the uses and benefits are endless!

As we transitioned our hives from the traditional vertical hives to a more natural horizontal hive we cleaned the old frames which resulted in an amazing propolis harvest.

A tincture has been crafted and will be ready in a few weeks….stay tuned!

For those who have come to love Figurelle’s Heirloom Acre, LLC- Bakery and Farmstand baked goods you can find them at the Westmont Community Farmers Market Sat mornings. And starting Saturdays in July they will also be at the Ebensburg Farmer's Market. Check out their page for their other market locations. While we miss them hanging out with us, we wish them a great market season!

🌱We use actual herbs….in this case real vanilla beans and real frankincense. No fragrances. No essential oils.

🐮Our cows are raised beyond organic standards and the herbs/carrier oils used are organic. No cutting corners for a top quality product.
