Hi again everyone! Wel it has been a crazy busy spring and summer here at Celtic Woods Farm! Our goat pen expansion is moving along after a few hiccups. We had 19 baby goats born here this season! We attended some CMSA cowboy mounted shooting events with our booth and helping them groom the arena between rounds. We did a couple of craft fairs or local home day events. I have had a ton of overtime at my main job and so have my husband and daughter. We lost our big farm truck AND trailer in an accident in Scarborough on August 1st. Luckily the truck has been replaced now but we are still working on getting a new trailer. We had hauled in 2 loads of hay before we lost the truck and trailer but still will need to bring in move to cover the winter which from the signs we have seen are pointing to a heavy snow winter. Yuck. Anyhow before I digress into hating winter, I plan to get back to basics here on the page. Regular posts. Updating inventory as often as possible. Working to ENGAGE our followers more actively. We plan to build a Shopify page also. We got into some new stores, some of which have gone well and some that didn't pan out as we had hoped. So stay tuned for updates. Please like and follow our page and show us some love by interacting with our posts so we know they are being seen!

Yukon decided either she wanted to finish eating the goat feed (yes she does that) or she wanted to see what the hype was since the goats all seem to love laying in their feed trough. I had to whistle a few times and call her name it get her to poke her head up for a photo.

Finally got the fall fragrance oils ordered. Thye should be here in the next week or two and I can get started on stocking up fall. Its so hard to believe its coming right up. Where did our summer go? Leaves are already changing, kids getting ready for back to school, Halloween stuff being set up in stores. Wow times flies I guess.

Well I guess the radar was wrong. We were supposed to be on just the tippity edge of this storm. I hustled out to feed the goats and dumped the 1st 2 buckets, felt a few drops. Went to grab the other buckets to go in the barn to feed and got more rain plus got mauled when I got in the barn. Finally got those dumped into the stupid bowl and by then it was pouring outside. I still had to go put away the buckets, give Yukon her food dish and feed the boys. Needless to say I got soaked from head to toe! My shirt was dripping onto my socks while we took these photos so now my feet are wet. That was the only dry part of me because I had on muck boots. Good thing these goats are loved!

The goat pen expansion is going along nicely. This used to be all trees and somewhere along here was our 4 wheeler trail. No idea where that was now but we will make new ones. Still a TON of trees to come down, loads of brush to clean up and stumps to remove. Plus the fencing to install, barns to build or have delivered. Prep the ground where those will go before they get set up. I would say our entire summer is goat related this year for sure. But they will have a much nicer grazing area and bigger housing.

Possible scents to try, Orange Creamsicle and Evergreen Forest. Those sound interesting. Thoughts? Did we lose all our followers? I know we haven't posted much lately. We have been very busy planning the goat pen expansion and dealing with baby goats.
