Just some of the hats designed by up for sale while supplies last. Each one is one of a kind.

If you buy one (or more), send us a picture of you wearing the hat and/or tag so others can see how cool you look.

Something fun to wear on these sunny hot days.

This makes total sense. We pay taxes, upon taxes and more taxes. Then they want to tax us by creating more taxes. We won’t ever get ahead unless we play the game right back at them. Or vote those wanting to tax us out of their positions.

Another shoplifting incident at the store last night.

While I was working from home and monitoring the cameras, I see this guy. I wasn’t watching the whole time, but did see him right after he put the candy in his pocket. Seemed suspicious.

So I reviewed the footage and saw that he did take something. I called my cashier and said the guy stole but by then the guy left. He locked the store, called police and eventually found him and brought him back under citizens arrest. Since he didn’t damage the candy, was cooperative and we didn’t have time to wait for police, I went with checking to see if he had warrants.

Since I found out he didn’t, we let him go…for now.

People should still be held accountable for their actions. This man seemed able bodied enough to work. Unfortunately, he is and has been involved with drugs. If only he had a support system to get him clean and back on track with life. There should be a 24/7 line we can call to get him into treatment. If someone had a choice between arrest or detox (& true detox not this “you can refuse and be on your way” system we have) then as a business owner and victim, I would be okay if he did the detox as a consequence.

So many people like this sign posted in our store that I created an account to share more of my community advocacy, knowledge and other content not store related.

So follow if you would like to gain insight on City, County and State laws, law enforcement and judicial systems as well as knowing how and where to speak up for yourself and our community.

The old saying “it takes a village” is so applicable to what is needed now.

Another shoplift… the guy hid the beer behind the cookie case which cannot be seen when working that register. Leaves with the beer after using a credit card for mentos. (We have his name) Then tells the other guy “that was easy” after which he starts talking to this gal who may or may not be wanting money for food or drugs.

I run the name in my background app as well as the county court records and find out this guy has warrants (4). I call police to report the shoplift only to get an officer to call me nearly 3 hours later and proceeds to ask how I would like to receive the link to file an online report! 🤨 I tell him I’m not doing that and was specifically told by his command staff that he is to write a report (lately we call and are told to file a report online which is BS especially because I have video evidence I cannot upload).

I tell him I have the guys name and month and year he was born and that he has warrants. I asked him to look up the guys record and mugshot to compare if it is in fact the same guy (which I’m 95% sure it is). He said follow up will have to happen after he gets back from his 2 month military deployment as if there is no one else to do follow up.

I just now got the link to upload the video. Apparently I have to continue to run my store and be my own investigator and make my own citizens arrest because there is no one to help. And the city wonders why so many businesses are leaving…

When will it stop!! So many thieves on the streets of Portland. This gal has been in before with her guy. I kicked them out once before for drinking most of an ICEE and refilling their cup. We made amends as they eventually paid for the extra drink they got. But WTH! She decides to steal from me. I called the store to tell my cashier to get it back but she denies it and walks out. Meanwhile her guy is in there heating up food they bought elsewhere. I said to tell him that both are no longer allowed. To which she comes back in and returns the king size butterfingers but not the 2 regular size she stole prior to those. I swear I need to be stationed at the store to catch these people. I would have done a shakedown on her.

Argh!! This guy keeps writing on my signage at the bus stop!! The bus shelter was taken out because it was being used to get on top of our roof, people camping out, doing or selling drugs, graffiti all the time and a few times the glass had been broken out and they never replaced the glass (don’t blame them). Plus it collected trash. But seriously this guy needs to stop.

Flashback to the first day our store opened August 8, 2020. Right when we started building it COVID broke out and we were worried we wouldn’t make it. But slowly our customer base started growing as did the things we offered in be store. We didn’t have much money after the cost of the buildout to stock it. We could not have made it this far without our customers and the community around us. Love you all!! 💞

This guy came to shop and also decided to p*e on the side of our building. Literally trees and bushes around there but for some reason he was elated to p*e on the side of OUR building. Like so many others. Marking territory or ??? Maybe depends brief should not be just for older people. 🤷🏻‍♀️

BOLO for this guy, 6th in 7 days. He just thought our walk in was his refrigerator I guess. Just like the others we are a free pantry or something. I’m now having to post up outside my store to watch everyone. I missed catching this guy by 10 minutes and drove around looking for him. I believe he is living in one of the many low income apartments in the area.

Police have been called but are still a no show.
