New seafood boil spot in Portland? Mom is a connoisseur of crab so you know we had to go. Overall we thought it was good but I think we need to go back and try some different sauces before making a final rating 🙃

Fun fact: This building used to be an Izzy’s that fed me through residency when I was broke and very very hungry.

Surprising mom with a trip to LA for Mother’s Day..? 🥲🚫🏍️

Sogeum-ppang or salt bread is a trendy Korean inspired bread and mom has been wanting to try the real deal so the internet led me to .of.ordi in Koreatown, LA.

We tried a version in Portland annnd it was NOTHING like this one. This one had a perfectly crisp outside and a subtle sweetness that balanced nicely with the salt. Probably lots of butter but so worth it. PS. They open at 11:30 but people were lining up 30 minutes before opening so get there early!
