We are a local food distribution company based in inner SE Portland for over 50 years. We are currently looking for a full-time warehouse/customer service team member.
Candidates must:
*Be dependable.
*Be a positive team player.
*Be able to work early morning.
*Have a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record and able to obtain a DOT medical card.
*Have strong communication skills.
*Be able to take direction and show initiative.
*Preferably have experience in a delivery environment operating box trucks.
*Be able to repetitively lift 50+ pounds.
*Have basic math skills.
*Have a sense of urgency when needed and have a great deal of common sense.
*Be able to pass a background check and a drug screen.
Duties/Responsibilities will include:
*Deliver food and various restaurant supplies to our customers in 16' box trucks.
*Load delivery trucks in a timely manner.
*Conducting yourself in a professional manner.
*Collecting payments on deliveries.
*Pulling and Staging Orders
*Receiving and Stocking Incoming Freight
*Operating a forklift and pallet jacks.
*Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
*Showing initiative to get the job down.
*Taking instruction and performing duties with minimal supervision.
*Handle Customer Will Calls with excellent customer service skills.
This is a full-time position with the hours being Monday-Friday day shift (6am-2:30pm).
