SE Portland chronicles 🤣🤣
Yea, bros I’ve become the auntie that watches out for my hood. I call in for stuff like this cause seriously I don’t want no one to get hurt. Was a CNA for years and were taught to be the eyes and ears for our RNs healthcare team and I know if I’m not gonna call it someone is gonna get hurt.
I’ve seen needles on my street called it in. I’ve seen young folks high AF f*** walking in and out of traffic late at night after I was done with my shift and while folks was video recording I called it in. Aye, they may be struggling with addiction but that’s someone’s mom, sister and friend. We gotta be a bit of light in our hoods when no one wants to “get involved” your small act of caring could do some good. We got lots of kids in our hood so that’s what I think about.
2020 was a crazy year for a lot of us our hood was nuts, but I’ve grown to love where I live. I’ve seen improvement, but we gotta help each other.
I’m thankful that we got great neighbors and that’s hard to find these days. It was so awesome to meet a lot of my neighbors through our garage sale and share positive stories and like we say in Hawaii “Talk Stories.”
Anyway, just be that “auntie or uncle or the grams or grandpa” that watches out and try to share kindness when you can. Your light may help someone. I’m not perfect God knows that but people are really struggling these days. If we can do our part in our community we’ll see positive change.
