Due to an unforeseen plumbing malfunction, our event venue has notified us that they will not be able to host our August 23rd event.

Have no fear, the Malbec on the Coast team is committed to bringing our winemakers out to the Oregon coast and will work to find a new date in the future where we can all get together to celebrate Oregon Malbec. You’ll be the first to know once things are confirmed.

Thank you so much for your support and we will keep our fingers crossed that the rescheduled date will work for you. Also, be sure to save the date for Malbec in the City, our parent event held in Portland, Oregon mid-April 2026.

We’re thrilled to have joining us for our third Malbec in The City event!

You know what makes people buy a bottle of wine? Well, according to wine experts, it’s all about the type of wine, its taste, and where it’s made. And guess what? In the Rogue Valley of Oregon, there’s one producer who’s been proving that they’ve got it all figured out for decades.

Back in 1974, Ted Ge**er, the owner of Foris Vineyards, started growing grapes. And in 1978, he began selling them to wineries all over the Pacific Northwest. But it wasn’t until 1986 that Foris Vineyards started making its own wine. And boy, have they been making a splash ever since!

Now, Foris Vineyards wines are enjoyed in 44 states, four Canadian provinces, and even Japan. They’ve won tons of awards, including gold medals and “best buy” status. And Ted Ge**er, the man behind it all, says it’s all thanks to the stunning setting of their vineyards.

“We have four ranches, which add up to 188 acres of planted grapes, in a valley that’s surrounded by the flatlands, forest, and timber-filled hillside,” says Ge**er. “It’s like living in a dream come true. You couldn’t ask for a better place to make wine.”
