Bull Run Single Barrels
As if our love of Bull Run Distillery needed anymore proof, here are 4 more picks we were lucky to have the opportunity to select. So let’s get into what they are, shall we?
Bourbon Finished In Hennessy Cognac Casks:
6 year bourbon (75 corn/21 rye/4 barley) that was put in ex-Henny casks for 2 more years. Bottled at 117.44(58.72%) proof. 408 bottles
Cask Strength Rye
7 year rye (95 rye/5 barley). Bottled at 122.94(61.47%) proof. 180 bottles
Cask Strength Rye Finished In A Honey Barrel
A huge shoutout to History Redesigned and Bull Run for this one. A few years ago we did the first cask strength Jack Daniel’s rye pick in OR. A buddy of mine had the thought to take the empty barrel and age some honey in it. After several months the honey was dumped. We then had a “honey” barrel. What to do with it we asked ourselves. And of course we thought “Put wh***ey back into it!” So he contacted Jen and Lee, and because they are awesome, they said they could put rye into it. Almost two years later, here it is. 5 year rye (95 rye/5 barley) with 22 months of honey barrel finishing. Bottled at 118.92(59.46%) proof. 168 bottles
Pacific Rum Aged In Acacia Wood Puncheon
11 year rum distilled from 100% Hawaiian turbinado sugar. Bottled at 119.80(59.90%) proof. 336 bottles
