I want you all to know that we loved doing the Coffee Beer Fest for 8 years. It brought together two of our favorite beverages and invited the creation of so many delicious brews. We met many interesting people and mingled in the cozy, big tent outside Goose Hollow Inn. Sometimes, the sun shone down while other times the rain poured...but it was always fun!!
Last year, Goose Hollow Inn organized the Coffee Beer Fest successfully! We did this without our lead team, Jean and Dave Fleming, as they had moved on to other ventures. After the stall caused by the pandemic (a four-year break), we assembled Goose staff, breweries, brewers, beer reps, and Clark family and friends to plan, organize, decorate, and to serve beer (and a few Reubens). It was truly a fun and memorable revisiting of the best little fest here in the City of Craft Beer and Coffee.
It was our intent to host the Goose Hollow Coffee Beer Fest again this year, but after preliminary efforts combined with a lot of reflection, we decided to say Farewell.
If you're in town, join us for our "Mid-Winter Mingle" from 1-5 pm Jan 25 on the deck of Goose Hollow Inn, spilling out onto the parking lot where the fest used to pop up. We will be serving Gigantic Brewing's Totally Wired Coffee Stout (with Coava coffee), enjoying live music from Logger's Daughter, and raffling some Goose gear and a Bird Alliance membership. Proceeds from the raffle will go to the Bird Alliance (formerly the Audubon society).
Keep on getting out there and mingling with your flock and others!
