You are invited to join Nicoletta's Table and Avignonesi Winery for our next wine dinner on May 1st from 6-9pm in our beautiful event space, Franco's Room. Space is limited, so please reserve your seat early.
Nicoletta's Table is honored to host Virginie Saverys, owner of the Avignonesi Winery, one of the most lauded makers of vino nobile di montepulciano for our May wine dinner. Virginie purchased the Avignonesi winery in 2009, with the intention to take a winery already recognized for its quality, innovative research and experimentation to a new level of excellence.
She is a strong believer in organic products, so converting the winery to sustainable farming methods was a natural choice. Her aim at Avignonesi is to produce wines which do not only mirror the distinct identity of the terroir of Montepulciano, but wines which are healthier for her customers, healthier for the land and therefore for future generations.
Nestled in the Tuscan valley between the hill towns of Cortona and Montepulciano, vino nobile di montepulciano, the "wine of kings" is a beautiful, bold red wine made from the sangiovese grape. Wine Spectator has consistently rated Avignonesi wines as the finest in the world.
