If anyone needs a good looking bull calf. Please contact Crystal Beacham. The sire comes from Airline farms and is a dang good looking bull. In looking at this picture this calf is following in dad's footsteps.

Also she has some whole pigs or halves coming available from the processor soon.

Noticed in a recent sale of ASA bred animals that the top selling animal was BLACK. Personally if your breed's colors are red, white and roan then black shouldn't be allowed to be registered period. It was mentioned initially to allow as "shorthorn plus"for appealing to the commercial sector, allegedly. My prediction is that eventually they'll allow Bred-up % and list them as pure just as they do with the chianina and maine anjou influences.
ASA is going to be heading down the road that Simmental, Hereford, Salers, and others have done in losing their breed identity & any pure genetics in pursuit of black hide.

So glad I raise 100% pure, Native/Heritage genetics and will always be red, white, and roan so long as I'm raising shorties.

Today is a bittersweet day on the farm. Sent the eldest foundation females to market. They've been good to us and their bloodlines will live on at the farm. Last ones with the WIX prefix I had on the place, originally purchased from Wick Comer.
