PDX LocalSeek- Just discovered Salep, (sahlep, salepi or sahlab) a traditional Turkish winter beverage made w/milk, cinnamon, & the flour ground from orchid tubers! It's creamy, thick, warming, and nostalgic. Wild, i know, & yes, I wanna taste trip! Where in Portland Metro can I acquire this delight, either ingredients, or the beverage?

Think 'grocery outlet' meets 'city liquidators' for groceries.

Wei Wei (pronounced: weye way) incredible for classic flavors & textured blessings! Their entire legit Taiwanese Menu is elegant, simple, & fabulous, just enough variety & distinction.
Cozy family run operation, excellent hot tea selections (sencha, oolongs, matchas), contrasted w/ classic bubble milk tea & fruity teas like wintermelon and plum. Great for a cafe style drop in & read, or for a casual feast w/ friends or partner. They offer cold noodles! Try the house noodles, beef stew, & open w/the crunchy fried chix app laced w/fried basil leaves. Getchyerself to Sellwood (SE 13th & Bidwell) for this comfy & easy going delight of a time.
