Welp, once again you showed up in droves to get our Pie Wiches. Every day this month we have sold out of our savory gluten-free hand pies. We're starting to run out of words to express our gratitude at how amazing this local community is. And not just local either. We had one person who came all the way up from Salem! We are humbled by how much you like them, as well as all of you who have been coming back week after week!

Starting on Thursday June 4, we will also be appearing at the Rockwood Farmers Market from 3-7, and we will have frozen Pie Wiches for you to take home and heat up. The flavors we will have on hand will be: Chicken Pot Pie Wich, Mushroom & Onion Pie Wich (Vegan), Steak and Ale Pie Wich, Bacon Mac & Cheese Pie Wich, and "Chik'n" Pot Pie Wich (Vegan). We will also have a limited number of Cauldron Treats available. Hope to see you there!

We want to give a special shout-out to Hooked on You Custom Designs at The Original Gresham Farmers' Market. They made a new sign for us and we absolutely love it! It looks gorgeous, fits our theme perfectly, and to call the price "reasonable" is an understatement. I was also able to read it from a good distance. They communicated with us well to make sure the sign was exactly what we wanted. The other side of the sign holds a piece of paper we can put our menu on.

It's been an interesting week here at Pie Wich HQ. On Tuesday I was at the bank getting $2 bills for this Saturday. The teller asked what they were for, and I explained that they're to make change. Pie Wiches are $8, so change from a $10 is $2. While having the conversation, a customer from the next window leaned over and said "The mushroom one last week was amazing." Well, that just made my day and I had to call the Mrs. and tell her as soon as I got to the car. It also made her day. The takeaway here is that if you like the product a small business sells, tell them. We all really appreciate hearing it. In the words of Metallica, "We do our best, you're the rest, you make it real, you know!"

Here are this week's Pie Wiches:

1. Aloha Pie Wich - Smoked Pulled Pork, Pineapple, and Red Onions in a tangy Hawaiian BBQ Sauce
2. Shepherd’s Pie Wich - Ground Beef, Potatoes, Onions, Peas, Carrots in a rich Beef Gravy
3. Steak & Ale Pie Wich (Dairy-Free) - Steak, Potatoes, Harvest Moon Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Onions, Carrots in a broth made from Evasion Brewing Old School Ale
4. Chicken Pot Pie Wich - Chicken, Potatoes, Onions, Carrots, Celery in a White Wine Sauce
5. Broccoli Bacon Cheese Pie Wich - Broccoli & Bacon in a Cheddar Cheese Sauce
6. Curried Chickpea Pie Wich (Vegan) - Chickpeas, Carrots, Green Peas, Potatoes, Onions in a Coconut Curry

Our featured 6" pie this time around is Strawberry. We will also have a limited number of the big rice krispy treats we call Cauldron Pie available. It looks like the weather this Saturday will be beautiful once again, so stop by The Original Gresham Farmers' Market and get you some Pie Wiches!

It looks like the weather is going to be perfect this Memorial Day weekend, so we have been busy in the kitchen making the fillings for the Pie Wiches we will be selling at The Original Gresham Farmers' Market this Saturday. Here's what we will have in store for you:

Cheesy Bacon Asparagus Pie Wich - Profarm Asparagus, Bacon, Pesto, Parmesan, Cream Cheese
Mom’s potato Pie Wich - Ground Beef, Potatoes, Onions, Herbes de Provence in a thick Cheese Sauce
Steak & Stout Pie Wich (Dairy-Free) - Steak, Potatoes, Onions, Carrots in a Broth made from Evasion Tantamount Stout
Cubano Pie Wich - Ham, Swiss Cheese, Capicola, Dill Pickles in a Mustard Sauce
Breakfast Pie Wich - Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Hash Browns, Cheddar Cheese
BBQ “Chik’n” Pie Wich (Vegan) - Jackfruit, Red Onions, Roasted Red Peppers, Bourbon BBQ Sauce

We will also have a limited number of fresh Marionberry 6" pies available for $10, served cold. Plus, we will have some giant red white and blue Rice Krispy Treats for $5.

We just wanted to take a moment to say how grateful we both are to all of you who bought or even sampled a Pie Wich at The Original Gresham Farmers' Market yesterday. We were exhausted when we got home, but it was an incredible day. It was nice early in the day if a bit windy, but then the rain hit around noon. Still, enough of you came out that we were able to completely sell out. This despite bringing more Pie Wiches than we have ever brought before! Word is really getting out there, and we're proud to be a unique part of the Gresham community. We're going to try to bring even more Pie Wiches as well as other treats next Saturday. It'll be Memorial Day weekend and the weather looks like it'll be nice so far, so we'll do our best!
