The community has asked us for years now if we ever host Magic the Gathering Nights.

Well we are making it a thing on Sundays.
Fans have told us to deem it "drop in commander" style.

So, do the thing. Drop in. Tell the lands.
Sundays.
Meet new friends.
Be merry.

We will be here slinging mead.
You bring the Magic.
Everyone hangs out in a castle.
It will be a good time.

Fun fact, the track featured on this reel is by some dear friends of Wyrd's Owner and a local underground gem in the heavy power metal world and is called .

This track is also called Planeswalker.

Some of the first ever bottles of Wyrd Mead was brought to their second album release party back in the day.

Please join us in wishing our dear friend a most wonderful birthday.

Billy has been a true champion of the small folk for many years. He was someone who I knew for hours in Middle-earth as a small child, and in my adult life, before starting Wyrd, I was fortunate enough to meet and become acquainted.

Over the years and when launching our small community and business, Billy supported and hyped our idea. He wore the leather goods on stages. He shared our first Kickstarter ever back in 2018.

Years ago he hyped an entire panel room of our former holgate location encouraging locals to support local.

He had me as a guest on his podcast with during the worldwide pandemic further helping us survive (art by )

This year he and his wife stopped by Wyrd and enjoyed a magical evening trying all sorts of our meads and it was an honor that he took a selfie of us to send to his Fellowship group text chat.

He believed in us. He is a gem of a human and I truly wish him a most wonderful birthday!

Had a visit last night by Tayler Toll, original co-founder of Wyrd Leatherworks and Meadery.

Our first batch of mead began in his closet many moons ago.

We started Wyrd with zero capital. Zero loans.
We worked full time jobs and poured thousands of hours, all our extra money from paychecks, and more into the company.

We started at a first shop just up the road from the new castle. We then moved to our former holgate location and spent months cleaning and building out a space in a basement that was filled with animal urine and f***s and mold (yes it was gross) and that was right when the world was hit with a global pandemic.

Wyrd was not built on trust funds. It was not created by rich, multimillionaire corporations that you see so often. It's sad that there's so much corporate greed out there trying to hurt small businesses, but we prevail with the love and support from our community.

Wyrd is a small, community driven business that has endured beat down after beat down for nearly a decade, and through all odds has managed to stay open.

We both look very tired šŸ¤£

While there were many, many folks who helped build the new castle out and generously volunteered their time, let's take a moment of appreciation for these guys here.

Some are friends since age 5. Some since high-school. Some from the launch of our first shop. Some are new friends.

They sacrificed nearly EVERY weekend from the moment we got the keys until the opening day helping transform the space into the castle before you. Months.

You've probably seen the videos over months.

They laid the stones, did the hard work, sacrificed their days off, and gave more for the future of Wyrd than I could have ever asked for.

The built the next era of Wyrd Leatherworks and Meadery.

That is what our community does. That's the heart behind The Warriors of Wyrd.
