In case you’re wondering, the devil is alive and well and apparently working overtime around here.

In the last two weeks, my big dough fridge has died, I’ve had two freezers go out, dealt with issues on another refrigerator and now tonight… my oven decided to call it quits too.

I decided to take the girls for a fun day today instead of spending another day working. We came home, I got through baking all the bread, started on the treats and what do you know? The oven died.

So I apologize, but the baked goods won’t be quite as plentiful this weekend. There will still be plenty of bread, but not nearly as many sweets.

I don’t share this for a sob story. I share it because it’s reality. Not everything you see online is sunshine and rainbows. In fact, most days around here aren’t.

Last week’s sermon at church talked about how easy it is to look at someone else’s life and think they have it all together while wondering why yours feels so hard. People say that to me sometimes, and trust me, it couldn’t be further from the truth.

So if you’re having one of those seasons where it feels like everything is breaking, going wrong, or piling up all at once, you’re not alone.

This farm, this business and this life are full of blessings. But they’re also full of challenges.

Anyway, we’ll see you this weekend. 💗
