I've learned June 8th is a day to be merry for me. A day to grasp people I hold dearly, bring them closer, and share with them. Meals, stories, hopefully some good weather, and a nice, cold beverage.

A day like today is for romancing the good that we have around us. Grab that chunk of cheese, tear at that baguette, grab that extra bottle of chilled white wine. Make a big burger, and make it how you think it should be done! Hug that person you love, and let them know how much you love them.

Sheep Lactic from is a marvel of a cheese.

With its seasonal influence and seasonal available, it's maybe the cheese I'm most excited about at any given moment.

It's bright, lively and fresh, yet somehow so deep in rich sheep-milk flavor that it resonates in my Cheesemonger soul. Big flavor from/big feelings towards this little drumette of a cheese!

Grab one today. They go quickly! Pair it with Godsend chocolate, or a crisp cremant du Bourgogne, and ideally some bread.

My friend Veronica is my favorite cheesemaker. She is profoundly talented, has awesome taste, and runs a great business, leading with integrity. She also busts her ass to get us the finest goat and sheep's milk cheeses either side of the Mississippi. (I'd vouch that she's the greatest cheesemaker in the country)

The sheep's milk used for her fresh Brebis is from a farm that produces absolutely delicious sheep milk through a focused animal husbandry program of the Assaf breed of sheep.

Beautiful milk, fantastic cheese-making, creative ice-creaming, and our independent shop creativity... A commitment towards something delicious! Available now.

Not your regular, flabby finned friends.. these are an oceanic treasure! Our friends say it best.

"Delicately fishy, deeply umami, and with a pleasant dense chewiness, Testa anchovies are the gold standard for this staple of Southern Italian fare"

We couldn't agree more. Try them on pizza, in your pasta sauce, simply adorned on a butter slice of bread. Take the oil and make a delicious mayo in 5 minutes!
