This week we are elated to highlight one of our returning vendors, Ka Chai & Coffee!

Although this is only Ka Chai’s second year at the market, Santosh has quickly made his booth an indispensable staple of the Cedar Mill Farmers Market community. Santosh strives to bring traditional Indian chai and street culture to a wider audience in order form friendships over a delicious cup of slow-boiled chai. You’ll feel cozy and at home as soon as you enter Ka Chai’s booth. It’s beautifully decorated with rugs and chairs for you to sit and make yourself comfy, as well as Santhosh’s warm inviting personality! Come have a cup of chai, a conversation, take a breath, and enjoy your day! ☀️

Can you believe it’s already June? Spring has flown by so fast and we are welcoming warmer weather into the market, along with all the beautiful produce that comes with it! 🌞

This month we have a ton of fun musicians and community booths! Challenge your friends to air hockey on the 20th, when the Oregon Air Hockey group brings two tables to the market! Or sign up for summer reading with the Cedar Mill and Bethany Community Library! On the 13th the Beaverton Lions Club is coming to talk about how to support folks who need it in our community!

Our sustainability booths this month includes the Master Recyclers who will teach you how to deal with waste in a climate friendly way. Then the OSU Extension Master Gardeners will help you with questions about your garden!

On the 27th we are so excited to welcome back Chef Nancy to cook up some delicious seasonal and local treats for all to enjoy!

Also our kind and generous sponsors will be at the market as well. This month, Orangetheory Fitness, Chiro One Wellness, and the Sunset Federal Credit Union will be showing their support! We couldn’t have the farmers market without them so come on by and say hello!

Of course, each week we’ll have a new, fun, activity for our Power of Produce Kid’s Club. Come check out the market, every Saturday! 🥕

This week is so special because we get to spotlight one of our sensational farmers, Fungilicious! Their stunning gourmet mushrooms have become a staple at the Cedar Mill Farmers Market. Not only are the mushrooms delicious, but they are so eye-catching, you'll spot them from halfway across the market!

These mushrooms are tasty and contain medicinal properties! Lion's Mane, a mushroom of beautiful cascading tendrils, helps to support brain health. While oyster mushrooms, which Fungilicious sells in an array of gorgeous colors, are filled with anti-oxidants and can lower cholesterol. Come visit Fungilicious and make much room in your fridge for mushrooms! 🍄‍🟫

🥦Welcome to the Power of Produce Booth!🥦

The Cedar Mill Farmers Market POP club is a market based children's program that seeks to teach kids about fruits and vegetables, food production, as well as ecological processes such as pollination or the rain cycle.

Each week there is a new fun activity at the POP booth, such as farmers market scavenger hunts, plant identification, seed planting, crafts, and much much more!

After participating in the activity, kids get $2 to spend on the produce of their choice at the market! These tokens serve to empower kids, by giving them the ability to buy from, and get to know the farmers!

The POP booth is a great place to spend a Saturday morning! Come join us at the Cedar Mill Farmers Market, every Saturday 9am-2pm!☀

Our Vendor Spotlight of the day goes to a new vendor, who we are so excited to welcome into our community, Jess Pies! Nothing encapsulates Jess' mission more than her slogan, "We spread joy…pies & baked goods are just delicious!"

She is not kidding about the deliciousness of these pies! In perfect little mini form, Jess' creations are ideal for a picnic in the park, or a sweet after-diner treat! Jess is always drawing inspiration from fresh, local ingredients, leading to a different specialty flavor each week! Come visit her at the market to see what she's cooking up! 🥧

Our vendors have everything you might need, fresh cut bouquets, beautiful skin care products, candles, pastries, even jewelry. Maybe your special parent is in need of a mini pie or a lovely pint of strawberries! You’re guaranteed to come across a splendid present, this Saturday the 9th from 9am to 2pm! 💐🍓
