We are a family-owned business located in inner Southeast Portla
nd; one that cherishes our environment, one that celebrates the bounty of beautiful ingredients in the Northwest, one that respects our staff and co-workers and one, of course, that specializes in crafting mouth-watering cuisine. Mark Lopez is our commander in chief and has been in the food business for most of his life. (In fact, he began planning meals and cooking for his family when he was 8!) This love for food inspired him to open a small Taqueria in downtown Portland over 13 years ago, quickly expanding into a full-service catering business about four years ago. As the catering business grew, the Taqueria was shed, the name was changed to Crave Catering and an International Chef joined the team to continue our progression. Our team of chefs and foodies are truly devoted to our planet, which means we do everything within our power to preserve its beauty. We care about where we buy our food, how our cows and chickens are fed, who we choose as partners and even who we choose to hire. We recycle, compost, and utilize efficient heat for our building; we employ biodiesel and hybrid vehicles within our delivery fleet, give back to the community and so much more. We’re co-founders and proud members of the Sustainable Catering Association, members of the Sustainable Business Network and received our RecycleWorks award. Simply put, sustainability is near and dear to our hearts and we plan to do 10% more each and every year. We are a bunch of crazy foodies who love food, adore the Earth, revel in beautiful presentations and adore people. Most everyone who works for us has been in the industry for most of their adult lives; this is their chosen career path. Everyone on our staff is well versed in service and what it means to really take care of our guests.
