EXTREMELY grateful for my customers. 🙏❤️
Lately, I’ve been saying that I’m selective with the orders I take, and I try never to turn down the customers who have been coming to me for years unless I’m truly unavailable. Not because I don’t want the business. The truth is… I’ve just been tired.
I LOVE creating cakes for people. I love being a small part of your celebrations and special moments. But between my full-time job, life, and everything else, the exhaustion lately has been HEAVY.
And if I’m being completely transparent… there have been times I’ve sent a quote and silently prayed, “Lord, please let them go in another direction.” 😂🙏
But apparently God says, “Girl, you have TWO kids in college. Get up.” 😂😂
So I pull my hair back, roll up my sleeves, turn on some music, and get to work.
And you know what? Every. Single. Time. I surprise myself.
I’ve gotten faster. I’ve gotten better. I’ve learned how to manage my time differently. And when it’s all finished, I sit down for a minute, look at what I created, and thank God.
I thank Him for the skill He has blessed me with, in addition to the career and skillset He has already given me. Because of Him, when an extra expense comes up, when my kids need something, or when life simply starts life-ing, He has given me another way to provide.
So I pray through the exhaustion. I ask Him for strength. And somehow, He always provides it. 🙏
And to every single one of you who continues to come to me, choose me, recommend me, and trust me to make your special days a little sweeter and a little more beautiful…
