Calling all young readers (grades 1-5)! Strawbery Banke’s new book club, Girls Through Time, brings the experience of girls in the past to life. In six sessions, participants will explore a different story about a fictional girl growing up in a variety of historical times. Readers will cook a simple recipe inspired by the character’s time period, create a themed craft, and play a game connected to the history and daily life featured in the book. CAN YOU HELP? We currently have nearly 200 animals in our care and are anticipating hundreds more over the next few months. We need your help to keep their bellies full, their hearts happy, and their stays as comfortable as possible.

Right now, our most urgent need is kitten food (both wet & dry) to help nourish the 41 little ones currently in our care‼️

Additional supplies we are asking for:
1️⃣ Food for all indoor animal types (puppy food is the second most urgent need)
2️⃣ Churu treats to encourage shy cats to trust
3️⃣ Nylabones, Benebones & bully sticks to reduce kennel stress
4️⃣ Treats & squeeze cheese to entice dogs to learn their manners and become more adoptable
5️⃣ Collars & leashes to ensure our dogs stay safe
6️⃣ Litter & bedding to keep animals dry and comfortable
✴️ Gift cards! Consider adding on a $10 gift card to your purchase to not only help the animals in care today, but also those that will need us in the coming months. We use donated gift cards to purchase items when supplies run low or an unexpected need arises.

3️⃣ Prefer to shop locally? We gratefully welcome supplies and unopened pet food donations purchased from grocery stores, pet stores, etc. Please drop them in our donation bin, located outside our garage from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
