This year’s Business of the Year (11+ employees) was awarded to Valley Wholesale Foods - a company that has served our region with exceptional dedication, reliability, and heart. For more than five decades, this locally rooted business has provided thousands of customers across Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia with high-quality food service products, dependable delivery, and unmatched customer care.

Their impact is undeniable. And their heart for this community is woven into everything they do. It was our honor to present the award to Valley Wholesale Foods, Inc., honoring their late founder, Ernie Vastine. His wife Peggy Vastine was on hand to accept the award and was accompanied by their children.

When my dad began this small family business, he had a simple goal: to provide for his family while serving the community he loved. What started as a modest operation has grown—only because of the trust and support of our remarkable customers, and this wonderful community we’re privileged to call home.

Today, this award belongs not just to us, but to every person who has walked through our doors, believed in us, and allowed us to be part of their lives. It is a testament to our amazing team—who truly feel like family—and to all of you who have cheered us on.
