This morning’s gorgeous harvest = tomorrow’s colorful bouquets at the Portsmouth Main Street in Bloom Farmer’s Market on the esplanade from 9:00 to 1:00. The snapdragons are especially spectacular this week.
The first batch of Hank’s Honey, brought to you courtesy of the bees who make Hog Lot Flowers their home, will be available.
And, last, but not least, there will be frosted oatmeal cookies, lemon sugar cookies, jumbo cinnamon/sugar doughnut muffins, and cheddar bacon scones, fresh from the oven.
It promises to be a beautiful morning. Hope to see you there.

Hog Lot Flowers will not be on the esplanade for the Main Street Portsmouth in Bloom Farmer’s Market this morning. We are flowering a very special event later this morning. We will be back next week with oodles of flowers for you!!! The fields have begun to produce beautifully. See you then!

As I left the farm this evening, I could see the golden light behind me, so I tried to capture the sultry humid perfection of an early June evening. These are the evenings I will remember forever. Daylight lasting for what seems like forever, long shadows casting their fingers across the field as I work, sweet gentle breezes cooling the humid air. I love June evenings better than Christmas Eve, better than my birthday, better, even, than waiting for a snowstorm.
