White Zinfandel is maligned by some wine lovers because it has a reputation as the wine people drink when they don’t actually like, or know, wine. It’s often made with relatively low-quality grapes and blended into a consistent house style that can mask the types of grapes it’s made from and where the grapes are grown. It’s also on the extremely affordable end of the wine-cost spectrum, which some people will only see as “cheap.” And the reasons you may enjoy it—its fruit-punch flavor profile and appealing sweet finish—are exactly what turn off some wine lovers. Sweetness can take the edge off of a simple wine, but it can also mask a wine’s nuances, if it has any.

D'Essence Cellars is now offering a high-quality White Zinfandel to their family of award-winning wines. From its nose to its legs, this White Zinfandel is sure to please.

Stay tuned as 300 lbs. of grapes, which will yield between 100 and 105 bottles of wine, are now fermenting.

10 gallons (4 cases) of our Merlot Reserve has just been hand-bottled. We will allow it to age for a minimum of 3 months before we even THINK about uncorking it.

10 cases of our newest member of the D'Essence Cellars family has been bottled and corked! Introducing "Country Pleasure"
(a fine Riesling).
Not unlike other Reislings, Country Pleasure is an aromatic, deliciously refreshing wine that tastes like the nectar of apples, apricots, peaches and pears that comes in tall, slender, green glass bottle. Its crispness is due to its high levels of acidity. It will be well-known for its strong floral aromas.
Country Pleasure pairs well with all food types, but where it really excels is with spicy food. Your taste buds will go absolutely bonkers with the combination. Something about the spicy food and the acidic semi-sweet Riesling just works. It's a flavore combination you have to try to believe. Trust us, spicy food and Country Pleasure were meant for each other. So order some spicy Indian or Thai, pop a bottle of Country Pleasure, and let your taste buds run wild.
