So thankful for friends with the same crazy interests as us! Huge thanks to James for hooking us up with guinea keets after we’ve struggled the last few seasons trying to rebuild our flock. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, guineas earn their keep around the farm. Tick patrol, grasshopper control, sounding the alarm when something’s off, and one of my favorite jobs… helping keep snakes pushed back! And they can free range without destroying the garden. These noisy little feathered weirdos may not have much sense, but they sure have BIG purpose. Praying this bunch thrives and settles in well here. Lord knows the ticks in Oklahoma aren’t getting any smaller!

Mini donkey gestation can vary from 12-14 months, so when we say we waited a YEAR for this moment… we truly mean it. There’s nothing sweeter than watching a brand new baby take those first wobbly steps beside mama. One of the most amazing facts about them is how quickly they imprint. From the very beginning they bond deeply with their people and become loyal, loving lifelong companions. Gentle, smart, protective, and full of personality… there’s just something special about these special little creatures . Welcome to the farm, little boy. We already adore you. 🩶

A little reminder for the new followers.

We are incredibly thankful for every single person who supports our farm, our animals, and our family. We truly do our best to accommodate everyone and help however we can. That being said… life on our farm is FULL.

Between church, raising 6 very active kids, sports & extracurricular activities, tending the garden, milking, caring for animals, preparing for farmers markets, and simply keeping up with everyday life, our schedules are extremely busy and often planned down to the minute.

Because of that:
• We cannot hold animals/products/items past a reasonable amount of time unless arrangements are made ahead of time.
• Pickup windows are small and based around OUR family schedule.
• If you request a pickup time, please respect our time and be punctual.

Our time is the most valuable thing we have right now, and there simply isn’t much of it to spare.

For biosecurity reasons AND the safety/privacy of our family, we do not offer farm tours or open our farm/home to the public. We have worked hard to create a self-serve market stand conveniently located at the END of our driveway for pickups.

We are still happy to try and accommodate deliveries or meeting up at market when possible — as OUR schedule allows.

Thank you for understanding, respecting our boundaries, and continuing to support small family farms like ours. We appreciate you more than you know.

I’m always a little jealous of everyone’s cute farmers market haul posts because by the time this vendor gets a chance to shop… the things I wanted are usually sold out! And if I do make it home with goodies, my kids usually devour them before I can even think about taking a picture. BUT a few of yesterday’s market finds survived long enough for me to make the most perfect sandwich today after a long day tending animals & working in the garden Rosemary boule (mine not market), fresh tomato from Autumn, microgreens from Lunar Vitality Greens, a tiny swipe of mayo & a sprinkle of Redmond’s Real Salt.
Simple. Fresh. Absolute perfection. This is exactly why we love local food & our little market community so much. Stigler Farmers Market
