One of my biggest goals when I hatched chicks back in March was to create olive eggers.

Today, one of those sweet girls gifted me her very first egg… and just look at that color. 🥹💚 I’m absolutely loving those new chestnut colored eggs too!

I was hopeful to collect beautiful olive eggs, but I never imagined she’d choose the most perfect soft sage green. Sometimes nature has a way of creating something even more beautiful than we pictured.

I’d say she understood the assignment. 🤍🥚

Now the only question is… who laid it? 🤔 Maybe it’s time to break out my DNA 🧬 kit and start testing these girls!
