Today marks the end of the harvest season for me here at Culinary Crow's kitchen. I am sadly sending out the last of the CSA and close down the outdoor kitchen. It is has been a crazy and fun filled summer of making preserves I would not find any where else other than in my backyard.

With the raise of early morning near, I got up and put on my finest garden hunting clothes. It was a big day, as I was hunting for the rare monster zucchini. It had been all summer but I just knew that this was the morning, I would find the golden monster.
So with my Daisy Red Ryder Carbine gun, I walked out into the misty morning to start my hunt. I looked all over. It was not until the sun came up over the trees did I see the shadow of the first monster! Then, like a flash they ran, so many green ones running into the corn patch. They knew, I was going to get them this morning. It took a minute, but I headed them off at the front the corn patch. The Red Ryder and I were quick to take them all down.
It was then, the rarest of rare monster zucchini's appeared. The garden God blessed me, with a golden monster and I whispered to my Red Ryder, "don't fail me now". I aimed................................ BAM! The golden monster fall............ I leaped up for my position to look. I got it! I had this rare monster to make all the relish, addition to the tomato sauce, candy and jam for the winter. On this fine August morning, I had gotten the rare golden monster zucchini with my trust Red Ryder gun.
