Nut Brewing Co. Brewing in the small town of Potsdam, NY A couple of buddies met at a small private engineering college in upstate New York called Clarkson University.

After trying hundreds of different types of beers from around the US and the world they decided to start brewing their own beer. THE NAME: The name of the brewery came from the street we started brewing on, Walnut Street and it kinda evolved into Nut Brewing. FOUNDERS: Dan Hilderbrandt (Brew Master) & Anthony Harvey(Financier/Brew Assistant) - Introducing Rob Thomas (Co-Brew Master)

I've been down in Maryland for 4 months and there is a very strong cult following for Flying Dog...hopefully someday when Nut Brewing can muster the means for a real brewery we can get that same type of following.

P.S. you can't buy PBR pretty much anywhere except for restaurants here and I have yet to see Smuttynose

My boss and I broke some company rules and drank a Hop Nuts IPA at the office...he gave it a 9.5/10. Pretty good considering he is a senior member of the Baltimore Microbrew Society!

Some big news this week from Nut Brewing Co-Founders Anthony Harvey and Dan Hilderbrandt! Anthony had a healthy baby boy born on the 27th and Dan got engaged to his girlfriend Monique on the 28th!
