Lots of memories and countless MQHA committee meetings back in the day.
After 58 years of serving the East Lansing community, we have an important announcement to share. Please take a moment to read the message below from the owners of The Coral Gables.
It is with great appreciation for our customers, employees, and the broader community that we announce the difficult decision to close The Coral Gables in East Lansing after 58 years and two generations of ownership.
To all who have considered The Gables their home away from home—a place for family gatherings, meetings, celebrations, or simply a familiar spot to find friends—we extend our deepest gratitude for your loyalty and support. Serving you has been an honor, and we will sincerely miss the daily connections that have meant so much to us.
For a century, The Gables has been the setting for countless meaningful moments: first jobs, first drinks, family brunches, and even meeting future spouses. This place holds a special significance not only for our patrons but for our family and staff as well. Closing our doors is bittersweet, as we reflect with nostalgia on the memories while recognizing that the time has come. We wish the very best to everyone we have met along the way. Your presence, patronage, and friendship have shaped us and this establishment in immeasurable ways. We sincerely thank you.
Our final day of operation will be Tuesday, June 30.
Sincerely,
Stuart Vanis
