After a TikTok of Iceman went viral we’ve received so many questions from people who haven’t yet visited. If you’re new to Ehrlich Acres here’s everything you need to know. Hopefully this helps!
- We’re open all the time (sun up to sun down). The cows usually always have access to visitors unless they’ve accidentally locked themselves out while scratching on gates. We will post on our instagram and page any time the farm is closed 🙂
- If you don’t see them, yell their names! ICEMAN, ROSIE, EVE! Trust us, they know their names and will come running.
- If you don’t get out of your car, they won’t come up to the fence. They’re very smart!
-We are a small family farm, the parking lot at the top of the hill can be used for visiting the cows. Please park so that others can park too!
- Other than feeding the cows, there’s nothing else on our property to do. It’s not like a big farm with hayrides, face painting and food. The rest of the property remains private for our family.
- Feeding the cows can be quick but you can also stay as long as you wish, they’re very therapeutic if you’ve had a rough day.
- We typically provide hay treats in a bucket at the fence line. There is no cost for these, they are for the public to give the cows. Please do not throw them, carefully feed to them.
- Best practice is to feed Iceman first and then feed the others quickly. Or have someone feed Iceman while you feed the others. He’s an aggressive treat hog.
- Donations keep us going. These big creatures are expensive to feed. Every donation goes towards hay bales and treats.
-On occasion we have bread donated for the cows at the fence line. We have looked over it to assure they can eat it.
**Please do not feed them anything other than what’s provided by Ehrlich Acres.**
- Before feeding the cows, please read the farm rules.
-After feeding the cows, wash your hands.
Thank you for visiting!
