If you’ve wondered why things got so quiet around here this past year… we started homeschooling. Not a choice I ever expected to make.
And honestly? It changed the rhythm of our days in ways I could not have fully prepared for. Between lessons, reading struggles, farm work, chickens, field trips, meals, and all the normal life things, my focus got divided fast. Social media was one of the first things to fall to the bottom of the list.
But while I haven’t been posting much, a lot has still been happening here.
One of the biggest projects right now is rebuilding many of my planting areas to make them more efficient. When I first designed the garden, I wasn’t planning around higher-production flower crops the way I am now. So as the beds have aged and needed reworked anyway, I decided it was time to change a big part of the layout.
It is a huge job — the kind that looks worse before it looks better — but I’m excited to show more of that process along the way.
This farm has always been closely tied to our real family life, and this year that life looks a little different. Homeschooling, rebuilding, growing, adjusting, learning as we go.
Below is a picture of the field after we built it in 2020. The 2nd was taken in March when we started rebuilding.
I’m still here. Still growing flowers. Still figuring things out.
I will be posting updates to the flower cart schedule soon so stay tuned! Also make sure you are following us on Instagram for more updates on the rebuild.
