Nestled on 200 rolling acres in Dutchess County, NY, Gopal Farm at Sprout Creek Farm has now reopened and is operating under proud owner, Nimai Pandit, the founder & CEO of Gopal Farm, a local New Paltz, NY-based regenerative farm organization. Gopal Farm at Sprout Creek offers a farm-based wellness education, completed with programming, an innovative model for Ethical No-kill Dairying, a Farm-ba
sed Education Retreat Center, a creamery, lodgings, and will an eventual spa.
“Our vision at Gopal Farm at Sprout Creek is foremost to develop a sustainable yet profitable model for no-kill dairy farms and integrate the theme of wellness throughout every touch point of the facility. Our farm-based education retreat center will include Farm Education, Wellness Education & Artist's Education. These education programs will be integrated with farming & environment, with a focus on young people & their parents, in two broad streams:
First to empower the community to be accountable for their health and learn how food & herbs are the best medicine for self-care against chronic lifestyle diseases, along with our key self-awareness practice, through the ancient healing modalities and sister sciences of Yoga Ayurveda (the Indian Holistic Science of life,) and meditation,
The Second is to inspire educate and motivate the community to be mindful and conscious about climate change, and adopt new regenerative agriculture & ethical ag practices. (And yes, our friendly farm animals from our New Paltz farm – cows, cashmere goats, Indian runner ducks, chickens, cats, dogs, and even Piggy – have relocated to their new homes already. Gopal Farm at Sprout Creek Farm is a not-for-profit organization. We are a place where a community of experienced teachers and farmers live and teach year-round. They help children develop creativity and ingenuity while making a point of teaching children to see the value and rewards of real work in a nurturing and supportive environment. We’ve found that the farm setting is a wonderful way to teach environmentally responsible ways of caring for animals, working the land, and living a simpler, more environmentally integrated way of life.
