No other beer-only stores in the world offer the selection of beer, brewing supplies, glassware and beer gifts. In 2002, Half Time opened its first store in Poughkeepsie, New York and quickly earned the reputation as the “Highest rank and most reviewed beverage center in America” by Beer Advocate. And just when you thought you'd seen it all, in 2013, Half Time opened the World’s largest Beer-only store in Mamaroneck, New York. Located in the heart of Westchester County, Half Time’s new store is 20,000 square feet and has craft beer enthusiasts gleaming ear to ear. Customers make the pilgrimage from each of the surrounding states to see the world’s largest selection of beer and to be waited on by knowledgeable beer geeks who live for the next new beer release. Customers are pampered with regularly scheduled face to face meetings with the actual brew master, the man who makes the beer. During any of Half Time's “Meet the Brewer”, customers are now allowed to taste the beer during a tasting. Half Time also features 40 different Beer Gift Baskets, 6 different Beer of the Month Clubs each containing 12 beers every month, Beer Gifts and thousands of beers from around the globe which you can buy online one bottle at a time. Create A Case of beers you’ve never had before or mix up a six pack by choosing individual beers, one bottle at a time at any of the stores and online as well. The store is like a supermarket filled with isles of beer each broken into categories by country. Simplifying the arduous task of selecting a beer you haven't tried, founder Alan Daniels has developed an easy way for patrons to minimize their risk of grabbing an unwanted beer. To make the selection process easier Half Time posts a ticket for each beer in front of each selection in the entire store. The ticket describes the name of the brewery, country or state of origin, color, hop, style, alcohol by volume, and a full tasting notes description.
