Anyone remember the hanging basket hen 🤣 back in March a little hatchery bantam bin game bantam sat on eggs in a hanging basket. I candled them and were duds… well guess who didn’t let that stop her. She laid 10 eggs in the basket and 9 hatched 🥴 I have no idea who da daddy is so these are definitely going to be smaller chickens. Straight run out the door for ten all 9 day old chicks 🐥. Located near Beaver-Pound area.

Salmonella from backyard chickens is on the rise again 🙄 it happens every year so don’t be alarmed. What you need to be doing is WASHING YOUR HANDS and your child’s hands. Young children under 5 yrs old are more at risk but not limited to that age.

If you have breeder birds or birds that don’t free range help them out. When birds free range they nip the tops of grass so take a scissors out cut some grass and chop it fine. Add grit and some goodies. Here I’ve added apple blossoms, black soldier fly larvae , beef suet, vitamin powder, and grit. Then add it to your feed and mix well. Your chicks, juveniles, ducks, or any bird not free ranging will love you. I only do this occasionally as I have time but if your treats are less than 5% of the daily feed then you can do it all the time or often.

Reason why I don’t trust buying chicks from other breeders: just spent $250 on a bundle and 93% of them are boys!!! I’m so mad 😡. I knew better; it’s happened with a different breeder too
