When this local flower farmer hands off a peony bouquet….it’s been years (4 to be exact) in the making.

It started with choosing the varities, planting, waiting and waiting some more. She resisted cutting blooms so the root system could grow strong, she watered during dry spells, weeded so the root system could thrive, debudded for fuller blooms, and harvested those stems at just the right time.

So when she hands you your peony bouquet and sees the smile on your face… It’s a moment, it’s personal and she hopes it lights you up with joy. ✨

Tulip season is winding down, thousands of seedlings are getting planted and the peonies are on their way. To say May is “busy” for a flower farmer is an understatement. Doing my best to stay focused and work off a list but my brain is bouncing all over the place.

Thank you for supporting us this Spring - it means everything to this “small but mighty” flower farm.

This is always the time of year where I am overwhelmed by the work the property and flowers demand. There is so much to do in a short amount of time and I’m feeling it mentally and physically today. It coincides with the dandelion bloom where everything looks chaotic and messy. I know this will pass and the maintenance of it will be easier through the summer.

But I took the time to notice this tree in full bloom. It is spectacular and I wait for it to do its thing every year. We gotta pause and soak in the beauty around us!

This stunner was my favorite from this weekend. Blush and Ivory double tulips with a few filler florals and flowering branches. It's giving "bridal" and romance.

We accept special orders with a 24 hours notice throughout our season.

Have a great day!

It’s 15 degrees here in Northeast WI so there is nothing to be done outside but there are plenty of ways to prep for this year’s planting season.

Just sharing these simple things with you is motivating me to get started!

1. Organize your seeds (buy seeds if you haven’t already). The time to start seeds is fast approaching! Mark your calendar when you’ll start seeds based on the instructions on each seed packet. You’ll need to know your last frost date.

2. Clean your planting cells/trays or purchase new ones if needed. Buy your soil now and keep it inside so it isn’t freezing when you’re ready. Ask me how I know 🤦🏻‍♀️

3. Clean and sharpen your gardening tools. Snips and bypass pruners, I’m looking at you! The winter is the perfect time to do this task.

4. Purchase any tools you’ve had your eye on now, before you’ll want to spend all your money on plants at the garden centers when the weather warms up. Yeah I know what happens!

5. Source where you will buy starts (if you aren’t starting seeds). Is organic important to you? Are you looking for heirloom or specialty varieties? Are there special landscaping plants/bushes you want? You may be able to order ahead.

Hope this gets you excited to get the ball in motion! If you have any questions, drop them in the comments

A dose of color, beauty, and hope.

Because half the country is expecting frigid temps and/or a lot of snow in the next couple of days. Stay safe, and watch out for your neighbors
