COVID-19 has proven to be the Achilles Heel of the industrial agriculture machine and grocery store meat cases are as barren as the toilet paper aisle was a month ago.
However, did you know that in the State of Oregon, poultry growers slaughtering no more than 1,000 poultry per year for direct retail sales are not required to obtain an ODA license? Beulah Farms falls under this exemption and we sell our wholesome, pasture-raised chicken directly to customers looking for an alternative. While we are not going to single-handedly solve the meat shortage, our new-to-us Featherman chicken plucker and Traulsen commercial freezer will sure help us make more of a dent!
Our first batch of broiler chicks arrives next week and will be ready around the 3rd week of June. Next batch will be about a month behind those guys! Follow our page for regular updates as we head into the 2020 season!
