Our names are Mark and Tara we both were raised in South suburbs of Chicago, IL. We have been together since we were teenagers, got married in 2006, where we started our family in South Chicago Heights, IL. Chicago, IL is where you will find one of the best places to have an Italian pizza. We both grew up loving to cook and make our own style of foods, host dinners and love watching people enjoy o
ur creations. We moved out to Powell TN in 2017. We always wanted to open our own pizza place. In 2021 we decided to set out to blend our Italian roots to the South, and to create the ultimate, Italian pizza in Knoxville. We brought years of food experience and assembled a team of family, friends and neighbors for endless tasting, fine-tuning and critiques to be able to create our very own pizza food truck in Knoxville. The vision of Southern Yankee pizza is to create a pizzeria that would be the first place thought of whenever someone thinks about pizza. Our vision is predicated on the values that we cherish: Customer satisfaction, family bonding, good eats and good times. We look forward to growing with you and starting this journey together.
