Since 2011, the sensual flavors of exquisite wines have been all the rage at Powell Village Winery. Our winery in Powell, OH, is your top destination for a wide range of wines, tasting sessions, or samples of small bites to complement your wine choice. We're proud to feature wines pressed from the grapes of reputable vineyards in the central valley and central coast of California. We serve our wine on tap guaranteed to be fresh with no external influences. This reduces carbon footprint and landfill waste. And while you're here, be sure to try our flatbreads, bread and dipping oil, cheesy garlic bites, and butcher block that all pair extremely well with our select wines. Forget winter, spring, summer and fall. 🍊🍉
In our house, there are only TWO seasons: Sumo Orange Season and Watermelon Season.
And naturally, each has its own w**e pairing. 🥂
🍊 Sumo Oranges + White Bordeaux
🍉 Watermelon + Crossbarn Chardonnay
The best part? One trip to Carfagna’s and I’m ready for either season.
Who needs four seasons when you’ve got two this good? Cheers! 🥂

If my friends were drinks…
Some are sweet, some are spicy, some are a little complicated, and a few are best enjoyed in small doses.
But just like a good drink, every friendship brings something different to the table. And life wouldn’t be nearly as fun without them.
Cheers to the friends who make life a little more interesting!

Unpopular opinion: I hate fall.
The leaves? Meh.
Sweater weather? No thanks.
Pumpkin spice everything? Hard pass.
Because while everyone else is romanticizing crisp air and changing leaves, I know exactly what fall really means…
Winter is coming.
But I’ll give fall ONE thing: Apple Pie Mead from Brothers Drake, made right here in Columbus.
Apparently even I can find something worth pairing with a season I’d rather skip entirely.

Some things just belong together.
For Mom’s birthday, it’s her favorite Almond Raspberry Cake from Mrs. Goodman’s, paired with a sparkling rosé from Carfagna’s.
Because birthdays are better with cake, bubbles, and the people you love most.
Happy Birthday, Mom!

Some things are worth buying more than once. I loved listening to Ann Patchett’s Whistler so much, I had to buy a copy to read, too. And my favorite Raeburn Chardonnay? Let’s just say this isn’t my first bottle. Parnassus Books Raeburn W**ery

W**e isn’t the only thing I like with a little honey.
I’ve been using Beauty from Bees because I love the whole idea behind it: Nothing Hidden, Nothing Harmful. And at this stage of life, my skin is definitely making its opinions known.
So my latest pairing? A little self-care, a little honey, and a glass of Chardonnay.
And yes, sometimes that Chardonnay starts in the shower. Don’t judge me.
Because not every pairing belongs on a dinner table.

Today’s pairing: Lady Gaga’s Haus Labs lipstick and a glass of Chardonnay. 💄🥂

Do they go together? They do now. Haus Labs Lady Gaga

One day their room is full of dirty dishes, piles of laundry, stinky shoes and a million other things you swear you won’t miss.
And then one day… it’s just a room.
I’m so proud of the life he’s building. I wouldn’t want it any other way.
But I also realize that being happy for where he’s going doesn’t mean I don’t miss where he’s been.
Here’s to the rooms that raised them… and the memories that stay behind.

Some pairings just make sense.
Friday night. A glass of High on the Hog, because I’m feeling a little Southern, and my current comfort show, Leanne.
She says, “Let’s take to the bed.”
I say… let’s take the w**e to the couch.
It’s ok to stay in on a Friday, especially if you have a good bottle, a good show, and absolutely nowhere else you need to be.

Some books you read. Some books completely transport you.
Memoirs of a Geisha took me somewhere else entirely, another place, another time, another world.
And of course, I started wondering… what do you drink with that?
Because I can’t just read a book anymore. I have to pair it.
