We started digging potatoes. Less than normal crop but they sure taste good. $4 a quart, kinnebec white potatoes. $25 1/2 bushel

Yesterday was one that we will never forget. Mary our favorite lambed in feb and cycled out of season and decided to have more lambs. We knew she was due in October. Yesterday morning we woke up to one baby ram lamb with Mary. As the day progressed we could tell she was still in labor and declining. I called the farm vet who basically said wash your hands and be the vet. I held Mary while Lauren played vet and checked her, sure enough another Lamb! How exciting!
But with more investigation we could tell it was not alive. I was holding onto her and telling her to push and she started to push while Lauren pulled the little lamb out. It was white with big brown patches just like it's dad. Mary was exhausted! Fast forward to today Mary and baby are doing just fine.

Had a celebratory potato tasting yesterday. We still have a few hundred pounds of white Kennebec potatoes. Our potatoes are 100% pesticide free. Kennebec potatoes are best suited for cooked applications such as baking, mashing, or roasting, but their best virtues are displayed through frying. Buy your thanksgiving potatoes now!

What is fire cider? Glad you asked! It’s like liquid gold!!! It’s a herbal tonic that is used to help boost your immune system (we haven’t been sick in a very long time) and also helps with digestion! Along with so many other health benefits! It is tangy with some spice! Delicious! We like to take a tablespoon each morning to help warm up or triple that if we feel the sniffles coming on. You can even add a little to a good olive oil and make a spicy salad dressing! PS: it's delicious in stir fry too!!!

Orders and payment are due by October 6th - making this round October 7th, making pick up the first Saturday in November!

It has not been the best year for our produce with the long cool spring and fairly dry summer with heavy random downpours caused some issues. A few tiny victories in the State fair of Virginia. First place Irish white potatoes, and 2 years in a row first place on Jalapeños. A third in gourd and a 5th in small peppers. Didn't make a few entries as crop didn't hold until fair maybe next year we will be growing a giant.
