The greenhouses are located on 18 acres in rural Powhatan County with two retail stores in Richmond - 203 N Belmont Ave in the Museum District and 1125 Gaskins Rd in the West End. One of the oldest plants in my father’s collection - C warneri ‘Ardenholm’ FCC/MNEOS (1914) (Manchester & North of England Orchid Society) that comes from the Ardenholm estate in Maghull 1895. Armacost writes in 1934, “Admittedly, the largest and darkest warneri in cultivation”. Art Sr imported the plant from Stuart Low in 1946 and it was widely used as a stud at Alberts & Merkel and Clint McDade. #1914
