The greenhouses are located on 18 acres in rural Powhatan County with two retail stores in Richmond - 203 N Belmont Ave in the Museum District and 1125 Gaskins Rd in the West End. You will be amazed at the selection of blooming plants and we board over 13,000 orchids for clients. From the First Lady series, it’s Blc Melania Trump ‘Mar-a-Lago’ (C Bold Swan x Chia Lin) from 2016. The entire collection resides at the Smithsonian and Longwood Gardens.

One of the oldest plants in my father’s collection is Lc Callistoglossa ‘Low’ AM/AOS (L purpurata x C warscewiczii) originally made in 1882 by Veitch. This recently awarded variety is likely an early remake from Stuart Low.

Our Story

Founded in 1989, Chadwick’s is Virginia's largest retail orchid nursery. The greenhouses are located on 18 acres in rural Powhatan County and retail store is right behind the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond’s Museum District. We are currently boarding 13,000 orchids for clients and there is always a great selection of blooming plants at both our locations. The Orchid of the Month Club is wildly popular and we deliver or ship gift plants and arrangements every day. Please stop by with friends or a bus full of enthusiasts.
