We brought home a goose & gander yesterday. Mona-goosa seems happy to have more geese around.

Otis' new collar arrived. He is huge!
Back in 2017, when I was creating our website, I was excited to see that thefullerfarm.com wasn't in use. It didn't take long to figure out the domain name was owned by someone else. So, we went with thefullerfarm.org and used wordpress. A couple of years later, I received an email offering to sell me the domain for $10k 😂
Then, a couple of months ago, I was contacted by multiple people notifying me that the domain was for sell at auction. For $75, I was able to get it. In the process of setting up a redirect, I messed up my original page & login. Instead of dealing with tech (mainly, hold times) to work it out for a "blog" style site, I changed directions.
Introducing out new website:

Figured it's a good time to have eggs again. The black austalorps are about a month away from laying. And, we picked up some chick's from TSC. Of course, the minis 🐎 were interested in the new chicken digs (and feed). This is the first time we don't have a dedicated coop, instead giving them a stall. We'll see how it goes! 🐔🐓🐣
Ugh, tax time. At least I can watch the horses while my soul is sucked dry by inputting numbers. And, farmbrite changed how it looks and I am not a fan. What software does everyone use?
Otis update 🐕
He has gained 20lbs in 3 weeks, weighing in at 44.9 lbs today. At this rate, in 2 more weeks, he will be our heaviest dog 😮
Ultimately, once fully mature, he'll be somewhere in the 150-200lb range, taller than some of the minis 🐴, and able to run faster than they can. Thankfully, we don't have wolves where we are. So, he'll keep the livestock safe from coyotes, wild pigs, and stray dogs. Since they work best with buddies, we'll hopefully be adding a female later this year.
Let's talk feed... what are you paying these days? I know I wasn't paying this much in VA in 2020.
1- When your name is Buffy, you rock the 80's hair
2- It's yogurt! We don't party that hard
3- Everyone is hoping we're here to dish out treats
4- This 11 week old is 34.9lbs 😳 And, he whined the ENTIRE time he was off the farm
This is our new LGD, a Turkish Boz Shepherd. His farm name is "Otis" but I think he looks like a lion cub. Maybe it should have been Simba? 🦁 He's over 30lbs at almost 11 weeks old. He's indoor/outdoor until he is older. And, he's already alerting to strange people and dogs. Good lgd's are worth their weight in gold. His parents are impressively calm and collected (we've experienced the super intense lgd's that act like they want to eat your face off even when properly introduced) which helped win me over to the breed. We're super excited to watch him grow into his role on the farm.
My morning view 😍 The mini horses and Kunes enjoying the Texas sunshine 🌞
BIG day! The 3 mini girls left Virginia today for their trek to us in Texas. We're so very excited to have them here on pasture. We've never even met Rosie & Nora. So grateful for amazing renters who have poured their hearts into caring for them.
How cool!

It's back!!! We need your help to oppose this bill.
https://www.scstatehouse.gov/sess124_2021-2022/bills/3539.htm
H3539 is sponsored by Rep. Sylleste Davis, R- Moncks Corner, South Carolina. It is the SC Swine Transport Law, which would make it illegal to haul a live hog on a public highway unless you have permits, tags and government forms for each one. Read the proposed bill carefully - while it may be aimed at wild feral hogs, it ensnares domestic pig owners, preventing us from hauling hogs to processors, livestock sales, shows, fairs or to a veterinarian, without time consuming and burdensome requirements for every pig you produce. Failure to comply means fines and jail time. Enforce the existing law that prevents the transport of wild hogs, (SC Code of Laws 50-16-25) - don't saddle small family farmers with more regulations and expense, not to mention the extra labor and danger of attaching ear tags. Call or message Rep. Sylleste Davis SC House 100 (803) 212-6930. Call now, register your opposition with a clerk. The bill is now in the Committee on Agriculture, Natural Resources & Environmental Affairs. Our lawmakers need to hear from us, the people. This bill needs to be stopped before it becomes a law.
Four years ago today...we drove to Waynesboro to pick up our first goats. We went to get our two doelings and came home with an additional two (wethers). As usual, we dove in to the deep end with four bottle babies. So. Many. Gallons. Of. Milk. They lived in the garage until we got their fence put up.
Us in 1-2 months ... 😅😅😅
I've been meaning to post this - loading, unloading, and stacking this was my last heavy lifting prior to my unplanned hospital trip!
Anyway, we have Alfahay available for purchase if you are nearby and need some! Please DM/PM to discuss...
With her very first litter, Pepper had 10 double-wattled piglets! This girl was my personal favorite. I'm so glad she went to meadow kunekune farm where she is treated like a queen! 👑
Rosie (the horse cuz we used to have a 🐐 Rosie) arrived safe & sound! And, we finally found a harness small enough for little Gus.
This is DVM REBs Desert Rose who is enrolled now. She is replacing Babs who was discovered to be open (not bred) just before loading in the hauler. So, last minute changes bring this gorgeous mare to The Fuller Farm. She's smaller at 31" and a little older than Babs (so, an experienced momma). 🐎🐴
Lovin' the new digs 🐎🏠
Look at how much Gus has grown! They look so short in this tall run-in, like little hobbit horses 💍
The new run-in finally arrived! It was ordered back in May, Amish built in PA. Delivery took forever and was a bit of a hot mess. Glad it's done. Perfect size for the minis! 🐎🐴
I sure miss those trees!
New addition coming soon!
Meet 2017 AMHA/AMHR Fallen Pines Break the Bank (aka "Babs"). She is in foal, bred to National Champion DVM Bo's Hezntyson, and due in early April.
We're hoping Babs and Buffy make great friends!
