Seeing if the Emus like raspberries. We know Ding D**g does!

The Emus have been successfully released from house arrest.

Farmer Jerry put his wrestling skills to test and got the job done. He now needs a new pair of pants and perhaps, a pair of leather chaps to have on hand for bird handling.

Don’t let them fool you into thinking they are so innocent. They were the architects of the escape plan for the Emus, and broke the door to the pen, leaving it wide open. They went in the barn to eat hay. The Emus went on the lam, and the sheriff’s department was called. Luckily, the Emus knew where to find us by pecking at the patio door upon their return.

These two are on house arrest in the barn for a few days after their escape and hide and seek game the other day.

Making fresh pasta sauce today! We are roasting tomatoes, onions, garlic, red pepper and fresh oregano from the garden, drizzled with olive oil, salt, pepper and a pinch of sugar!

Lesson learned, no hoodies in the bird pen! 😂

These pumpkin pie bars tho…we had to go back for seconds, and some coffee of course!

We had to create a special bird feeder for the big birds to keep the goats from eating their food!
