A special town board meeting is being held on 9/1 for the BECI transmission line concerns.

We had quite a busy day yesterday with a couple chickens disappearing and then seeing a fairly large red fox and giant owl in the vicinity.

We rounded up all the birds and closed up the barn. Then, we saw baby ducklings in the duck house. The mama duck killed the last batch. So we have been watching for them all to hatch and grabbing them. So far there are 6 ducklings!

We had just bought some olive egger chicks, and they are making good friends with the baby ducklings and seem to be taking care of them. 🐤💕

Jerry says the ducklings have their father’s eyes! 😂

We will be growing perennials now along with annuals for spring!

It’s so hard to choose! What should we grow? Echinacea for sure, but what else? What are your favorites?

We had a little “vacation” from all things flowers, but now it’s back to business and the planning starts now for spring! 🌸🌺🌻

We attended a growers event to see some of the new flower options, containers and supplies as well as learning about using beneficial bugs to kill off the bad bugs that can infect plants.🪲🐛🕷️

Now, to narrow down what we will grow is the hard part when it ALL looks so nice! 😆

Sometimes, procrastination pays off. Other times, not putting away the extra stock of potting soil results in the cat and dog ripping open some bags while bunny hunting together (bunny went under the pallets).🤬
