πŸŒ§πŸ“ Friday U-Pick Update (June 12th) πŸ“πŸŒ§

Mother Nature has had a little too much to say this week! With all of the recent rain, the path to our strawberry fields has become extremely muddy.

The strawberries are doing just fine, but the path to the field is another story. It's muddy enough that you'd lose a boot before you reached the berries! πŸ‘’πŸ˜…

Because of field conditions, Creek Bed Farmacy will NOT be open for U-Pick on Friday, June 12th.

The good news? Our amazing picking crew will be heading to the fields rain or shine to fill all of your pre-picked strawberry orders. β€πŸ“

βœ… If you placed a pre-picked order for Friday, June 12th, please plan to pick up your berries at the time you selected.

πŸ“ Pickup Location:
Silver Berry Barn
N2767 Mountford Rd.
Poynette, WI

And because every rainy day needs a silver lining...

🍩 We'll have freshly made DONUTS available at pickup! 🍩

Thank you for your understanding and support. We appreciate your patience as we work with the weather and do our best to bring you beautiful, fresh strawberries.

πŸ“ STRAWBERRY UPDATE! πŸ“

We're open for U-Pick strawberries on Thursday, June 11th!

πŸ•– Hours: 7:00 a.m. - Noon
🚜 Last field admission: 11:30 a.m.

Can't make it to the patch? We're still accepting online orders only for pre-picked strawberries for:

πŸ“ Friday, June 12
πŸ“ Saturday, June 13

πŸ›’ To order, visit creekbed.farm and click on the Shop tab.

⚠️ If you're hoping for pre-picked berries, don't wait! Last year's entire strawberry season lasted just 12 days, and pre-picked berries are typically available for an even shorter time.

Please note that we rarely have extra pre-picked berries available for walk-in customers. Ordering ahead online is always your best bet.

πŸ“ž Need to change an existing online order? Leave us a voicemail with your name and the date and time you'd like to switch your pickup to. We'll only call you back if we're unable to accommodate your request.

πŸ“… Beginning Friday, June 12th, we expect to start our regular U-Pick schedule:
β˜€οΈ Open 7 days a week
πŸ•– 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
🚜 Last field admission at 4:30 p.m.
(Weather permitting)

πŸ“ U-Pick Prices:
β€’ Quart - $6
β€’ 5 lb. Box - $20
β€’ Level 10 lb. Flat - $35
β€’ Heaping 10 lb. Flat - $40

🌱 We also have u-pick sugar snap peas available for $6 per quart!

πŸ’΅ We accept cash, local checks, and debit cards. Credit card purchases are subject to a processing fee.

We're excited to continue our 2026 U-Pick Strawberry Season on Wednesday, June 10, and we're also opening online ordering for pre-picked strawberries.

As always, strawberry conditions can change quickly depending on weather and picking volume, so please check our website, social media pages, or phone line before making the drive.

U-Pick Prices

β€’ Quart β€” $6
β€’ 5 lb. Box β€” $20
β€’ Level 10 lb. Flat β€” $35
β€’ Heaping 10 lb. Flat β€” $40

🧺 Pre-Picked Strawberries Now Available

We're now accepting online orders only for pre-picked strawberries for:

πŸ“ Friday, June 12
πŸ“ Saturday, June 13

To place an order, visit creekbed.farm and click on the Shop tab.

Because Julie is currently in Iowa with Elizabeth as she registers for college, we're coordinating berry orders remotely and unfortunately cannot accept phone orders at this time.

If pre-picked strawberries are on your summer bucket list, we encourage you to order soon. The pre-picked season is always shorter than the U-Pick season. Last year, our entire U-Pick season lasted only twelve days, and pre-picked berries were available for an even less time.

🚻 Visitor Information

Through Wednesday, there is one portable restroom available near our check-in station, Madge the Vintage Camper.

You may also notice signs related to the solar energy project on neighboring properties. We've been assured that construction will not take place near our farm during strawberry season, and there is no danger to visitors.

Before You Visit

Strawberries don't follow schedules very well. A field that looks full in the morning can be picked out by noon, and weather or irrigation needs can occasionally change our plans.

πŸ“ STRAWBERRY SEASON IS HERE! πŸ“

After months of waiting, we're excited to announce a soft opening for our 2026 U-Pick Strawberry Season

πŸ“… Tuesday, June 9
⏰ 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Noon)
🚜 U-Pick Only
⏰ Last admission to the field: 11:30 AM

We'll survey the crop after Tuesday's picking and then post our schedule for the remainder of the week.

πŸ“ U-Pick Pricing
β€’ Quart β€” $6
β€’ 5 lb. Box β€” $20
β€’ Level 10 lb. Flat β€” $35
β€’ Heaping 10 lb. Flat β€” $40

πŸ’³ We accept cash, local checks, and debit cards. Credit card purchases are welcome, but customers are responsible for the processing fee.

🏑 A quick note for visitors: You'll notice high-voltage signs on neighboring properties due to the large solar energy project in the area. We've been assured there is no danger, and construction will not take place near our farm during strawberry season.

🚻 Until Thursday, there will be one portable restroom available near our check-in station, Madge the Vintage Camper. Additional restroom facilities will be available later in the week.

🧺 The Berry Barn is not open yet. We'll begin offering pre-picked berries once there is enough volume to bring in our picking crew. Pre-picked season is typically about a week shorter than U-Pick season.

🌦️ As every berry grower knows, strawberries change as fast as the weather! A field that looks full in the morning can be picked out by noon, and occasionally weather, field conditions, or irrigation needs may require us to close unexpectedly.

πŸ“ž Before making the drive, please check our phone line, website, or social media pages for the latest updates. We are unable to respond to individual messages during the season.

We can't wait to welcome you back to the patch. See you in the strawberry field! β€οΈπŸ“

Our phone has been ringing, and we've noticed you driving by to see if we're open. We know you're just as excited about strawberry season as we are!

Spring was hard on our plants. We spent a dozen cold nights frost-protecting berries. It was all worth it because we’re looking at a very promising crop this year.

With rain expected Monday 🌧️, we'll open for the season on:
πŸ“ Tuesday, June 9th
⏰ 7:00 a.m. – Noon
🚜 U-Pick Only

We'll post the schedule for the rest of the week once we survey the crop after that.

πŸ“’ We won't open the Berry Barn until there is enough volume to justify bringing in our picking crew. Pre-picked season is usually about a week shorter than the U-Pick season.

πŸ“ U-Pick Prices:
β€’ Quart β€” $6
β€’ 5 lb. Box β€” $20
β€’ Level 10 lb. Flat β€” $35
β€’ Heaping 10 lb. Flat β€” $40

πŸ’΅ We accept cash, local checks, and debit cards. Customers using credit cards will be responsible for the processing fee.

⚑ Properties around us are part of a huge solar energy project. You’ll see high-voltage signs along the road, but there is no danger. They have assured us that construction will not take place near our farm during the season.

πŸ“ Berries change as fast as the weather. A field that looks great in the morning can be picked out by noon, and sometimes we need to close unexpectedly due to weather, or irrigation needs.

Before driving out, check our phone line, website, or social media pages for updates. We aren't able to respond to individual messages.

πŸŽ“ Our youngest, Elizabeth, graduates tomorrow, and we're headed to Iowa for her college orientation. It's an exciting milestone to celebrate.

It's also something joyful to hold onto after a difficult few weeks.

My Dad, Mike Andrews, has been battling health issues. After being by his side through hospitalization, surgery, and hospice care he passed away peacefully early yesterday.

We're grateful we had the chance to tell him we loved him and take comfort in knowing he is now with our Father in Heaven. ✝️

If things aren't as polished as usual, we ask for your grace. We're working hard to prepare for the season while navigating a season of celebration, change, and loss. We promise we're doing our best.

Today we remember. Thank you to all who lost their lives protecting the place we call home. β€’ This day has a special place in our hearts, because we are able to honor those who fought for what we have. American agriculture, our communities, and our livelihood is protected thanks to those who risked it all. Happy Memorial DayπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ.

Tonight marks the 6th all-nighter we’ve pulled this spring frost protecting our strawberry plants here at Creek Bed Farmacy. πŸŒ±β„οΈπŸ“

While most people are sleeping, we’re out in the fields through the night watching temperatures, moving irrigation, checking pumps, and making sure the berries are protected. It may look strange to see the plants covered in ice, but that layer of ice actually insulates the blossoms and keeps them at just enough warmth to survive freezing temperatures. Without it, one cold night could wipe out an entire season’s crop.

Farming has always been a mixture of faith, hard work, sacrifice, and hope. There are long days, sleepless nights, and plenty of uncertainty, but there’s also something deeply rewarding about caring for the land and growing food for our community.

So when you bite into those sweet strawberries in June, know they came from many cold nights, muddy boots, tired eyes, prayers whispered under the stars, and a whole lot of love for farming.

We’re tired tonight, but grateful. Grateful for this life, for the chance to do this work, and for all of you who support local farms and make it possible for families like ours to keep going.
Summer is coming… and so are the strawberries. πŸ“β€οΈ
