H is for Hay. Horses and other Herbaceous eating animals eat Hay. Hay, Horses, Herbaceous. Green, comes in multiple flavors.

Straw is the by-product of wheat and rye harvest. Straw is golden in color, commonly used as bedding, loved by the fall decorating crowd. The official partner of pumpkins.

The big kid and her horse headed back up to the North for college this weekend. It was all in all an uneventful trip back to school, minus the stray pair of un**es someone lost in the bathroom. (If you forgot your underwear in the Souix Falls Walmart bathroom, they were still there on the floor as of Saturday). Stopped for a little parking lot tail gate brunch, because doesn't everyone do that 🤣.

We enjoyed the short time that our big kid was home, but glad she is off chasing her dreams with her trusty old steed in tow.

And just like that pumpkin spice is in the air. (Don't hate on me, we just provide the goods). First load of the season heading out to some of our favorite customers!!!

I don't ever get to ride along on this delivery. That's not true, I went once and stuffed the cab of the truck full of plants. Since then I have been banned from this delivery.

If the straw bales are heading out that surely means autumn might be around the corner right?

Language warning, I wasn't expecting to find Fancy where I found Fancy....

Her current rental car was needing a little work before she could show me how she can drive standing up 🙄. True to form for most of our equipment.

Barefoot, happily humming working on her current ride. But have no fear, her faithful companion and her boots are ready for action.

What I left out of the video was her giving me a tour of under the hood, hands down a move out of her father's playbook. Luckily for both of them I have perfected the art of feigning interest in mechanical matters.
